The Grand Junction Gold Guy's guide to understanding physical gold and silver as a practical, generational way to hold savings -- written in the same plain, no-panic voice as his Facebook dispatches.

Frequently asked questions

Is this just going to tell me to buy gold?

No. It explains what gold and silver actually are, how pricing and dealers actually work, and how to think about how much (if any) makes sense for you -- the decision is yours.

Am I just reading a long advertisement for your coin business?

Fair question, and worth asking directly: The Gold Guy does buy and sell precious metals for a living, and that's disclosed plainly on this site rather than hidden. The book itself doesn't pitch the business -- it teaches the subject the same way regardless of whether you ever buy a single coin from the shop.

Do I need money to start?

No -- the book is written for someone starting with a few dollars of silver as much as someone with a serious position already.

Is this outdated? Prices change constantly.

The book is explicit that its dollar figures are illustrative, not real-time quotes -- the principles (what money is, how dealers price things, how to evaluate a purchase) don't expire the way a specific price does.

I already know the basics -- is there anything here for me?

The tier system covers advanced concepts, building a personal strategy, and how much is actually enough -- material aimed past the basics, not just an introduction.

Is this financial or investment advice?

No. This book (and this site) explain how physical gold and silver work so you can make your own decision -- talk to a licensed financial advisor before making any investment.

Is this only about gold, or silver too?

Both -- the subtitle is literal: it's a playbook for precious metals generally, not a single-metal pitch.
